BuildGate
BuildGate is a web app (with a lightweight CLI) that enforces “release readiness” across GitHub/GitLab repos by turning tribal knowledge into automated, auditable gates. Teams define policies like: required checks, minimum test coverage deltas, dependency vulnerability thresholds, changelog quality, infra plan review, and rollback notes. BuildGate then blocks merges/releases when policies fail, posts actionable feedback in PRs, and generates a release packet (risk summary, diffs, owners, runbooks) for approvals. It’s not trying to replace CI; it sits above it to standardize what “done” means across many repos and teams. The product is brutally practical: fewer late-night rollbacks, less arguing in PRs, and less “who approved this?” after incidents. Monetize per active repo or per developer, with an enterprise tier for SSO, audit logs, and custom policy packs.
