BuildMeter

BuildMeter is a web app (with optional desktop companion) that automatically tracks an indie game’s real development progress and communicates it clearly to players. It connects to Steamworks, itch.io, GitHub, Unity Cloud Build, and common task boards to generate a simple public “build health” page: last playable build date, patch frequency, bug-fix velocity, roadmap confidence, and a transparent changelog that’s hard to fake. For players, it answers: is this game alive, improving, and worth buying now? For developers, it reduces support noise by setting expectations and giving a single source of truth they can embed on store pages, Discord, and press kits. This is not a discovery app; it’s a credibility layer that helps good teams stand out and helps buyers avoid abandoned projects and misleading roadmaps.
