BuildProof

BuildProof helps open-hardware teams turn messy build notes into a reproducible, auditable “build packet” that others can actually follow. It captures the reality that kills replication: toolchain versions, firmware hashes, calibration steps, supplier substitutions, and the exact order of operations. Users create a project, then run guided checklists during assembly and bring-up; the app generates a shareable report with photos, test results, and a machine-readable manifest. It also flags common reproducibility traps (missing torque specs, ambiguous connector orientation, unpinned dependencies) and suggests what evidence to capture. This is not a CAD or PLM replacement—it’s lightweight documentation and verification focused on the last mile between “repo exists” and “someone else built it successfully.” The goal is fewer GitHub issues that say “doesn’t work,” and more successful third-party builds, labs, and small-batch manufacturers.
