BuyOrWait helps people make big-ticket decisions (car, home upgrades, appliances, electronics, vacations) by quantifying the tradeoffs of buying now versus waiting. You enter the item price, financing terms, expected price changes (sales cycles, inflation), your cashflow, and your alternatives (repair, rent, used). The app outputs a simple “Buy / Wait / Replace with X” recommendation, plus a regret score that shows what would have to happen for you to feel stupid later. It also tracks your decision over time: if you choose to wait, it monitors price drops and interest-rate changes and pings you only when the math flips. This is not a budgeting app; it’s a decision app that turns messy, emotional purchases into a clear scenario comparison with receipts.
