CabinCast
CabinCast is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that acts as a “traffic cop” for in-car infotainment. Passengers can request music, podcasts, navigation stops, or messages to be read aloud, but the driver sees a simplified, low-distraction approval screen with strict limits while the vehicle is moving. The app integrates with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto where possible, and falls back to a voice-first interface when integrations are limited. It also supports a “Guest Mode” via QR code so friends can join the queue without installing anything. The goal is to reduce the chaotic, unsafe behavior of people grabbing the driver’s phone or shouting competing requests, while still letting everyone contribute to the ride. It’s not magic: it won’t bypass OEM restrictions, and some features depend on the car and region.
