CableCraft is a secure web app (with optional desktop companion) for foreign affairs teams to draft, review, classify, and route diplomatic cables and briefing notes. It combines traditional workflow with AI-assisted drafting and redaction: users start from approved templates, pull in structured context (country, mission, topic tags), and generate first drafts that are forced to cite internal sources or remain blank. Built-in policy checks flag common errors (classification mismatches, missing distribution, prohibited phrasing, inconsistent dates/figures). A review chain supports legal/policy sign-off, versioning, and audit logs. The app also provides a searchable repository of past cables with strict access controls and retention rules. Realistically, the hardest part is security accreditation and procurement cycles; the product wins only if it reduces time-to-clear while meeting compliance requirements and integrating with existing government identity and document systems.
