CableCutCalc
CableCutCalc is a mobile + web app that tells households whether switching from cable to streaming will truly reduce their monthly spend—based on their real viewing habits and local pricing. Users enter (or import) their current cable bill, internet plan, and the streaming services they already pay for. Then they pick the channels, sports, and shows they consider “must-have.” The app maps those needs to legal streaming options (live TV bundles, standalone services, add-ons, and antenna suggestions) and outputs 2–4 realistic bundles with total monthly cost, first-year cost (including promo expirations), and tradeoffs (missing channels, delayed episodes, blackout risks). It also tracks price hikes and warns when a bundle stops being the cheapest. It’s not a magic “save $100” promise—often it will say you won’t save much, which builds trust and reduces churn.
