CableSense
CableSense is a desktop app (Windows/macOS) for IT teams and AV techs that diagnoses why a monitor, dock, or projector isn’t behaving: wrong resolution, flicker, black screen, HDR issues, USB-C alt-mode confusion, or HDCP playback failures. It collects system graphics logs, enumerates connected displays, captures link parameters (where available), and runs guided tests that isolate whether the culprit is the cable, adapter, dock, GPU driver, or the display itself. It then generates a shareable “evidence report” for helpdesk tickets and vendor RMAs, including a reproducible steps checklist. This is not magic: many low-level metrics are OS/driver-limited, and some hardware won’t expose enough data. The value is in structured troubleshooting, fast triage, and consistent reporting across mixed fleets—not in pretending it can see everything.
