CageTrace

CageTrace is a web + mobile app for zoos, sanctuaries, and exotic animal facilities to log zoonotic exposure events and generate defensible, actionable follow-ups. Staff can record bites/scratches, aerosol exposures, fecal contact, needle sticks, and PPE breaches in under a minute, tied to animal ID, enclosure, staff member, and shift. The app then produces a standardized incident report, recommended next steps (e.g., isolation flags, cleaning escalation, medical evaluation reminders), and a simple contact-tracing map of who entered which enclosures and when. It also supports lightweight compliance: vaccination/fit-test status, training acknowledgments, and audit-ready exports for internal safety committees. This is not a “detect every disease” miracle—it's a practical workflow tool that reduces missed documentation, speeds response, and helps facilities learn patterns (which enclosure, species, or procedure drives most risk).
