CalibSnap
CalibSnap is a desktop app (with optional mobile companion) that guides technicians through repeatable camera calibration and verification for robotics and industrial vision systems. It uses an AI-assisted workflow to detect calibration targets, assess coverage/pose quality in real time, and automatically flag common failure modes (blur, glare, insufficient angles, wrong target size, bad focus). The app outputs ready-to-use intrinsics/extrinsics and exports configs for common stacks (ROS2, OpenCV, ZED, Basler/Pylon) plus a human-readable calibration report for audits. It also includes a “drift check” mode: re-capture a short sequence weekly and compare against baseline to detect mounting shifts before they break production. The goal is not novel research—it’s reducing downtime and eliminating the expensive, error-prone calibration steps that teams repeatedly redo during deployments and maintenance.
