CampSignal
CampSignal helps campers avoid the most common trip-ruiners: arriving to a site that’s muddy, bug-infested, noisy, closed, or simply not as advertised. It’s a mobile app that collects quick, structured “ground-truth” check-ins from recent visitors (water availability, road access, crowding, noise, bugs, shade, cleanliness, cell signal by carrier, and closures). It then generates a simple “Go / Caution / Skip” rating for each campsite and trailhead, with time-stamped evidence and photos. The app also supports offline viewing and a lightweight trip list so users can compare backup options before they lose reception. This is not a dreamy social network; it’s a practical reliability layer over existing maps. Monetization is a subscription for advanced filters (e.g., quietest sites, best shade, kid-friendly) and carrier-specific signal predictions, plus optional partnerships with campgrounds.
