CanonCheck is a web + mobile AI-assisted companion for streaming originals that helps fans and creators keep franchise continuity straight. It builds a “canon map” per series/universe: episodes, spin-offs, specials, interviews, official social posts, and tie-in comics/novels—then labels each item as canon, soft-canon, or non-canon with citations. Users can search a character/event (e.g., “When did X learn Y?”) and get a timeline answer with sources and confidence levels. It also flags contradictions between seasons and spin-offs and lets communities propose corrections, which are versioned and moderated. This is not a piracy or streaming app; it’s a reference layer that sits on top of what you already watch. Realistically, success depends on tight scope (a few franchises first), excellent sourcing, and strong moderation to avoid becoming a rumor mill.
