CanonCompare
CanonCompare is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps pastors, seminarians, and ecumenical teams quickly compare denominational positions on key topics—sacraments, ordination, authority, marriage, baptism, Eucharist, ecclesiology, and more—using sourced citations from official documents (catechisms, confessions, canons, synod statements). Users can build “comparison sheets” for a dialogue meeting, export a neutral briefing PDF, and track where agreement is real versus where language only sounds similar. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI assists with summarizing long documents and highlighting differences, but every claim must be backed by a human-verifiable citation and versioned source link. The product is intentionally boring and rigorous: it’s a research tool, not a social network. Realistically, the biggest value is saving hours of prep and reducing misrepresentation in ecumenical conversations.
