CanonVault

CanonVault is a mobile + web app that helps readers and study groups use the “right” edition of a sacred text and cite it consistently. It provides publisher-verified digital editions (where licensing allows) and a fingerprinting system for public-domain texts to detect altered passages, missing verses, or modernized rewrites. Users can compare two editions side-by-side, generate shareable citations/links that preserve the exact edition and verse numbering, and create reading packs for classes or congregations. For communities that rely on PDFs or copied text from the internet, CanonVault acts like a provenance layer: where the text came from, what changed, and who verified it. It also supports offline access for approved editions and exports citations to common formats for sermons, papers, and study notes. This is not a “new translation” app; it’s a trust-and-citation utility for digital sacred texts.
