CapBidLens

CapBidLens is a web app (with optional desktop-friendly export tools) that helps market participants build, audit, and stress-test capacity market bids and expected clearing outcomes. It ingests public auction parameters, historical clearing prices, derating rules, and user asset data (ICAP/UCAP, outages, fuel constraints, performance penalties). Users can run scenario analyses (rule changes, demand curve shifts, penalty regimes, transmission constraints proxies) and generate a bid recommendation range with confidence bands. It also produces an “audit pack” for internal risk committees: assumptions, sensitivities, and compliance notes. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for deterministic auction math and reporting; AI to summarize rule changes, flag inconsistent inputs, and draft explanations for stakeholders. Realistically, it won’t replace a quant team, but it can replace messy spreadsheets and reduce bid-cycle time and errors.
