CapFlowMap is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that monitors cross-border capital flow signals and turns them into a practical dashboard for economic development teams and investors. It blends traditional data pipelines with AI to detect early indicators of FDI shifts: corporate entity changes, project permitting, port/shipping anomalies, hiring spikes, supplier contract awards, and policy/regulatory events. Users can set a country/sector watchlist, receive confidence-scored alerts, and generate a one-page “why this matters” brief for internal stakeholders. The reality: you won’t get perfect FDI data in real time, so the product is honest about uncertainty, shows source provenance, and focuses on directional signals rather than pretending to be an oracle. The app is built for teams that currently stitch together news, spreadsheets, and expensive terminals—without the budget or patience for heavy enterprise platforms.
