CapSentry is a web app (with optional desktop agent) for storage capacity planning across on-prem NAS/SAN and cloud object/block storage. It ingests time-series usage, growth drivers (new projects, retention policies, backups), and cost signals, then produces realistic forecasts with confidence bands and “days-to-full” alerts. The product is intentionally narrow: storage capacity and cost risk, not full infrastructure monitoring. Users can model scenarios like “enable immutability for 30 days,” “increase log retention,” or “add a new analytics pipeline,” and see the impact on capacity and spend. It also generates procurement-ready reports: recommended purchase size, lead-time reminders, and a simple justification summary for finance. An AI layer helps translate messy inputs (tickets, spreadsheets, policy text) into structured assumptions, but the core forecasting remains transparent and auditable.
