CapShift

CapShift is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps organizations measure and improve adaptive capacity—the practical ability to reconfigure people, suppliers, and processes when conditions change. It turns resilience from vague policies into a living “capability ledger”: skills coverage, cross-training depth, single-point-of-failure roles, supplier substitutability, decision latency, and recovery playbooks. Teams run short monthly check-ins and scenario drills (e.g., 30% staff absence, key vendor failure, sudden demand spike). The app scores bottlenecks, recommends the smallest high-impact actions (cross-train X, pre-approve Y spend, add alternate supplier Z), and tracks whether changes actually reduce time-to-recover. It integrates with existing systems (HRIS, ticketing, procurement) to reduce manual data entry, but can start with lightweight surveys if integrations aren’t available. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI summarizes drill outcomes, drafts playbooks, and flags weak signals; humans still own decisions.
