CapSketch

CapSketch is a web app (with optional desktop agent) for storage capacity planning across cloud object storage, block volumes, and on-prem NAS/SAN. It ingests usage and cost data from AWS S3/EBS, Azure Storage, GCP Storage, and common arrays via APIs/exports, then produces simple, defensible forecasts: “days to full,” growth rate by workload, and budget impact under different retention and tiering policies. The product is intentionally opinionated: it focuses on the 20% of metrics that drive 80% of outcomes, and it flags when the data quality is too poor to forecast reliably. It includes scenario planning (compression, dedupe, lifecycle rules, backup retention changes) and generates a short weekly capacity memo for stakeholders. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for data pipelines and models, AI for narrative summaries, anomaly explanations, and policy suggestions.
