CapWarden

CapWarden is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for practical capacity planning in service teams that live in spreadsheets and Jira. It ingests work-in-progress, backlog, and staffing data, then produces a weekly capacity forecast with clear confidence bands and “what changed” explanations. Instead of pretending forecasts are perfect, it tracks forecast error over time and forces teams to confront reality: utilization, meeting load, unplanned work, and skill constraints. The app includes scenario planning (hire, contractor, scope cuts, shifting priorities) and a simple approvals workflow so forecasts don’t die in Slack threads. It’s built for operations managers and delivery leads who need a defensible plan for the next 4–12 weeks, not a theoretical model. Expect some manual data cleanup at first; the product is honest about data quality and helps fix it with lightweight rules and validation.
