CaratChain

CaratChain is a web + mobile AI-assisted provenance and resale readiness platform for independent jewelers and small luxury resellers. It creates a tamper-evident “item dossier” for each piece: high-resolution photos, measurements, repair history, invoices, lab reports, and chain-of-custody events (intake, appraisal, resize, service, transfer). The app helps staff capture consistent evidence with guided photo checklists and automatically extracts key fields from PDFs (GIA/IGI reports, receipts) to reduce manual entry. Each dossier can be shared as a buyer-facing link with redacted sensitive data, boosting trust and lowering back-and-forth during resale. This is not a magic authenticity detector; it’s a workflow tool that makes documentation complete, searchable, and verifiable enough to matter when a buyer, marketplace, or insurer asks for proof.
