CaratClause

CaratClause is a mobile + web app (traditional app with AI features) that helps engagement-ring shoppers negotiate and compare offers across jewelers without getting played. Users upload quotes, invoices, grading reports, and warranty/return policies; the app normalizes everything into an apples-to-apples comparison (stone specs, cut quality proxies, setting metal/weight, hidden fees, resizing, service plans). An AI assistant flags red flags (inflated appraisals, vague “lifetime” warranties, missing lab report numbers, suspiciously low prices) and generates a negotiation script tailored to the jeweler type (chain, local, online). It also tracks price movements for comparable diamonds/lab diamonds and suggests realistic target prices based on recent comps, not fantasy “MSRP.” The app is blunt: it will tell users when their budget and requirements don’t match and propose alternatives (lab vs natural, shape changes, setting tradeoffs).
