CardiTrace
CardiTrace is a web app (with an optional CLI agent) that continuously validates time-series data quality and query performance for teams running InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, ClickHouse, Prometheus remote-write, or OpenTelemetry pipelines. It watches ingestion rates, late/out-of-order events, cardinality explosions, retention policy drift, and query latency changes, then pinpoints the exact series, tag keys, or recent deploy that likely caused the regression. This is not a full observability suite; it’s a focused “time-series health” layer that sits between your collectors and your dashboards. It provides lightweight baselines, change detection, and actionable remediation playbooks (e.g., tag normalization suggestions, downsampling policies, index changes). Realistically, it wins by saving engineers from expensive incidents and runaway bills, not by pretty charts. It integrates with Slack/PagerDuty and can open GitHub issues with evidence and suggested fixes.
