CardSync

CardSync is a mobile + web app that helps patrons manage multiple library cards and digital borrowing accounts in one place, without pretending to replace the library’s systems. Users store card numbers (securely), get due-date and hold-ready notifications, and see a unified “what I borrowed/what’s next” dashboard across participating libraries and platforms (where integrations exist). Where integrations don’t exist, CardSync still works via email parsing and calendar-based reminders—less perfect, but realistic. Libraries can optionally provide a lightweight connector (or simply a branded onboarding page) to reduce help-desk calls about lost card numbers, missed holds, and overdue surprises. This is not a magical universal catalog; it’s a practical organizer that reduces friction for real patrons who already juggle Libby/OverDrive, Hoopla, and multiple local systems.
