CareCostMap is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps families estimate, compare, and plan for long-term care expenses with fewer surprises. Users enter basic details (age, location, health factors, family support, housing) and the app generates realistic cost ranges for in-home care, assisted living, memory care, and nursing homes—plus how long savings may last under different scenarios. It also flags common “gotchas” like waitlists, level-of-care step-ups, and hidden fees. The AI layer turns messy research into a clear plan: it summarizes options, suggests questions to ask facilities, and produces a shareable “care budget” PDF for siblings or advisors. This is not a magic solution—pricing is volatile and availability is tight—but it gives families a grounded starting point and a repeatable way to update the plan as conditions change.
