CareHandoff is a mobile + web app that helps families manage the messy, time-sensitive logistics around end-of-life and the first weeks after a death. It centralizes the practical stuff people actually scramble for: who to call, what documents exist, where accounts are, what the care plan is, and what tasks must happen next. The app provides guided checklists tailored by situation (hospice at home, hospital, sudden death), a shared task board for relatives, and a secure “vault” for key documents and instructions. It also includes an AI-assisted intake that turns a short interview into a prioritized plan and drafts messages (updates to family, employer note, basic obituary draft) while keeping the user in control. This isn’t a grief journal; it’s a coordination tool designed to reduce chaos, duplicate work, and missed deadlines when people are exhausted.
