CareMapr
CareMapr is a web app (with an optional mobile companion) that helps local health departments and community clinics identify and track “care deserts” at the neighborhood level. It combines public datasets (CDC PLACES, Census ACS, HRSA provider files, transit data) with a lightweight field-survey tool for community health workers to validate what’s actually happening on the ground (hours, language access, appointment lead times, ID requirements). The app outputs a simple equity scorecard by census tract, highlights mismatches between need and capacity, and generates action-ready briefs for grant applications and board meetings. This is not a magic “solve equity” product: it’s a practical operations tool to prioritize interventions, document barriers, and measure whether changes (new clinic hours, mobile units, translation services) improved access over time. It’s designed for small teams with limited analytics staff.
