CareSwap

CareSwap is a mobile app that helps parents reclaim personal time by swapping short childcare shifts with nearby families they trust. Instead of paying for babysitters, users earn and spend “time credits” by watching another parent’s kid(s) for an hour or two, then redeeming credits when they need a break for sleep, exercise, therapy, errands, or simply quiet. The app focuses on safety and logistics: identity verification, background check options, shared availability, kid profiles (allergies, routines), and clear swap rules. It supports small “pods” (3–10 families) so it doesn’t feel like a risky marketplace. The business model is a subscription for verification, scheduling, and insurance add-ons; swaps can stay free to drive adoption. This is realistic self-care: time is the bottleneck, not motivation.
