CargoTriage

CargoTriage is a web app with an optional mobile companion for border and customs agencies to triage inbound shipments and travelers for inspection. It ingests existing data sources (manifest/ACE-style filings, carrier history, prior seizures, routing anomalies, declared values, and officer notes) and produces a ranked queue with clear, auditable reasons for each risk score. The AI component summarizes messy free-text declarations and flags inconsistencies (e.g., HS code vs. description vs. value) while keeping humans in control of final decisions. A supervisor dashboard tracks hit rates, false positives, and officer workload to reduce “random” inspections and improve seizure yield. Realistically, this will not replace incumbent systems; it’s a bolt-on decision-support layer that can run in parallel and prove value before deeper integration. It also supports offline capture of inspection outcomes at remote checkpoints, syncing when connectivity returns.
