CarLinkGuard

CarLinkGuard is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that monitors and controls what connects to your car’s infotainment system via Bluetooth, USB, and Wi‑Fi (CarPlay/Android Auto hotspots where applicable). It alerts you when a new device attempts to pair, blocks unknown devices, and helps you quickly revoke old pairings—especially useful for rentals, valet parking, shared family cars, and ride-share drivers. It also runs a simple “privacy reset” checklist after you sell a car: remove paired devices, clear call logs, wipe navigation history, and disable data-sharing settings (with model-specific guidance). This isn’t a magic shield—many cars have limited APIs—so the app focuses on what it can reliably detect (connection events, known device lists, user-driven actions) and provides step-by-step flows for the rest. The goal is fewer surprise connections, less data leakage, and less distraction from constant pairing prompts.
