CarWatch

CarWatch is a mobile + web app that crowdsources safety conditions at the train-car and platform-zone level, not just the station. Riders can quickly report issues like harassment, aggressive behavior, smoking/drugs, broken lighting, or non-functioning intercoms using a one-tap flow tied to the current vehicle ID (when available) or inferred via GPS + timetable. The app then shows a simple “safer cars/zones” map for the next arriving vehicle, helping riders choose where to stand and which car to board. It also supports discreet incident logging with optional media, time-stamped and exportable for official reports. This is not a replacement for police or transit security; it’s a real-time situational awareness layer for riders. The AI component focuses on spam/abuse detection, report clustering, and confidence scoring so the feed stays usable instead of becoming noise.
