Cascadex

Cascadex is a web app (traditional + AI) that helps teams model and stress-test cascading failures in complex systems—supply chains, cloud dependencies, operational workflows, and critical infrastructure. Users map components and dependencies as a directed network, assign simple failure probabilities and load/flow rules, then run Monte Carlo simulations to see how small perturbations propagate. The app highlights fragile nodes, hidden single points of failure, and “tipping paths” that repeatedly trigger large cascades. An AI assistant accelerates model building by extracting dependency graphs from pasted incident postmortems, architecture docs, or CSV exports, but the core engine remains transparent and editable (no black-box magic). Outputs include risk heatmaps, sensitivity analysis, and prioritized mitigation suggestions (add redundancy, reduce coupling, introduce circuit breakers). This is not a toy chaos visualizer; it’s a pragmatic risk sandbox for real-world complexity.
