CashFlowTap

CashFlowTap is a web + mobile app that connects to users’ bank accounts via open banking and turns messy transaction feeds into a simple, reliable cashflow forecast. It auto-categorizes income and bills, detects recurring charges, and flags upcoming shortfalls before they happen. Users can set “safe-to-spend” limits, get alerts when subscriptions spike, and simulate scenarios like “What if rent increases?” or “What if I miss one invoice payment?” It’s built for people who live paycheck-to-paycheck and for freelancers whose income is uneven—groups that budgeting apps routinely fail because they focus on categories, not timing. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for deterministic cashflow math and rules, AI for transaction enrichment, merchant normalization, and recurring pattern detection. The goal is not to replace a bank—just to make bank data actually useful day-to-day.
