CatchProof is a mobile + web app that helps restaurants and consumers sanity-check “sustainable seafood” claims using fast, evidence-based verification. Users scan a menu item, product label, or invoice line, then the app returns a confidence score with plain-English reasons: species risk, likely origin, gear type red flags, seasonal closures, and certification plausibility. For restaurants, it generates a simple “proof packet” (supplier docs checklist + audit trail) to reduce greenwashing risk and prep for customer questions. This is not magic traceability—most supply chains are messy—so the app is explicit about uncertainty and flags what cannot be verified. Revenue comes from restaurant subscriptions (compliance + marketing) and a lightweight consumer tier. The goal is to make misleading sustainability claims harder and honest sourcing easier, without requiring new hardware or full blockchain traceability.
