CatchProof is a mobile + web AI app that helps consumers and small food businesses verify whether a seafood product’s sustainability and origin claims are credible. Users scan a label or menu item, and the app pulls structured signals: species, catch area, gear type, certifier, importer/processor, and known risk flags (mislabeling hotspots, IUU risk, endangered status). It then returns a plain-language “confidence score” with citations and a short explanation of what’s missing (e.g., no lot code, vague origin, unverifiable certification). For restaurants and fishmongers, CatchProof generates a shareable “proof card” (QR) that links to the product’s documentation trail and updates if a claim is later disputed. This is not magic traceability—if suppliers won’t provide data, the app will say so clearly. The value is fast triage: know what’s trustworthy, what’s questionable, and what to ask for next.
