CausalCast

CausalCast is a web app (with optional lightweight mobile companion) that helps small-to-mid businesses build demand forecasts using real business drivers: price changes, promotions, stockouts, holidays, weather, and marketing spend. Instead of asking users to trust a black-box model, it guides them through a driver-based setup, highlights which factors actually move demand, and produces scenario forecasts (e.g., “What if we discount 10% for two weeks?”). The product focuses on messy reality: missing data, late POS feeds, and inconsistent promo calendars. It connects to Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and common ERPs via CSV/API, then automatically flags anomalies (stockouts, one-off spikes) so forecasts aren’t polluted. It outputs reorder-ready forecasts by SKU/location/time bucket and provides a simple “confidence + reason” explanation for each major change. This is an AI + traditional app combination.
