CauseLedger is a web app (with optional Slack integration) that helps teams explain “why” a KPI moved by automatically building a timeline of business changes and linking them to metric shifts. It ingests event sources like deploys (GitHub/GitLab), feature flags (LaunchDarkly), marketing sends, pricing changes, data pipeline incidents, and support volume, then overlays them on metric charts from your warehouse/BI. The product guides analysts through a structured diagnostic workflow: define the metric, segment the impact, detect the first divergence point, and test likely drivers with prebuilt queries and counterfactual comparisons. It’s an AI + traditional app: AI suggests hypotheses and relevant segments, but the system always shows the underlying data, SQL, and evidence so teams can trust conclusions. The goal is faster, repeatable root-cause writeups that don’t rely on one heroic analyst.
