CertGate

CertGate is a zero-trust access broker that replaces VPN-style network trust and password-heavy workflows with short-lived, device-bound certificates. It sits in front of internal web apps, SSH, RDP, and APIs and issues per-session access based on continuous signals: device posture, user identity, and risk. Admins define simple policies (who, what, when, from which device) and CertGate enforces them via mTLS and just-in-time authorization. The MVP focuses on the unglamorous but common reality: small and mid-sized teams that can’t afford a full ZTNA suite, yet still need to stop credential reuse, lateral movement, and “everyone on the VPN can see everything.” It integrates with existing IdPs (Okta/Azure AD/Google) and can run self-hosted for regulated environments. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional enforcement with AI-assisted risk scoring and anomaly alerts.
