CertNudge

CertNudge is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that monitors S/MIME certificate health across an organization and prevents the most common real-world failure: expired, mis-issued, or missing certs that silently break secure email. It connects to Microsoft 365/Exchange and major PKI providers, inventories user certificates, tracks expiration and chain validity, and flags configuration drift (wrong key usage, missing intermediate, weak algorithms). It then automates the boring parts: sends targeted renewal nudges to users, opens IT tickets, and can push updated certs to supported endpoints via an agent. This is not a “secure email client” fantasy; it’s operational plumbing for teams already forced to use S/MIME (regulated industries, government, defense). The UI is built for admins: dashboards, compliance exports, and audit trails. It also includes a lightweight AI assistant to explain failures in plain English and suggest fixes.
