CertScout
CertScout is a web app (with an optional mobile companion) that helps appellate teams decide whether a case is realistically worth pursuing in a state supreme court or the U.S. Supreme Court. It ingests lower-court opinions, key briefs, and relevant docket metadata, then produces a structured “cert readiness” memo: circuit/state splits, vehicle problems (waiver, mootness, interlocutory posture), preservation red flags, and a shortlist of the most analogous prior grants/denials. It also tracks deadlines, rule-specific formatting requirements, and generates a checklist tailored to the court and case posture. This is an AI + traditional app: AI drafts the analysis and citations; the product enforces workflow, review, and audit trails. It is not a magic “win your appeal” tool—its value is saving senior attorney time and preventing avoidable cert/appeal misfires.
