ChangelogIQ is a web app (with optional GitHub/GitLab app) that converts API changes into clear, accurate release notes and migration guidance. It ingests OpenAPI/AsyncAPI/GraphQL schema snapshots from your CI pipeline, detects breaking vs non-breaking changes, and drafts a changelog tailored to different audiences: internal engineers, external developers, and product stakeholders. The AI helps with wording, examples, and “what to do next,” but the tool stays grounded by referencing the exact diff and linking to affected endpoints/types. It also generates a versioned “deprecation plan” page with timelines, headers to add, and suggested error messages, so teams stop shipping vague “API updated” notes. Realistically, this won’t replace good API governance; it reduces the tedious communication work that teams consistently neglect, which is why integrations and workflow fit matter more than fancy models.
