ChangeSentry

ChangeSentry is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that acts as a lightweight gatekeeper for ITSM change requests. It automatically pulls context from your CMDB, recent incidents, monitoring alerts, and deployment history to generate a clear “risk brief” for each change: affected services, blast radius, similar past failures, and required approvals. It doesn’t try to replace ServiceNow/Jira Service Management; it plugs into them and focuses on one thing: preventing high-risk changes from sailing through on weak information. The MVP would include connectors for one ITSM tool and one monitoring tool, a configurable risk scoring model, and an approval workflow that leaves an audit trail. Realistically, selling will be slow because enterprises hate adding tools, so the product must prove value fast with measurable reductions in change-failure rate and mean time to restore.
