ChantMeter

ChantMeter is a mobile + web app for choirs, temples, monasteries, and small spiritual groups that want consistent sacred chant without turning practice into a music-degree project. It provides simple, tradition-agnostic practice tracks (drone, tonic, interval cues), a group “reference recording” system, and real-time pitch/tempo feedback during rehearsal using your phone mic. Leaders can upload a short canonical version of a chant (or a plain recitation), then members practice against the same reference so the group stops drifting over weeks. It also includes a low-friction rehearsal mode: one-tap start, large text, offline audio, and a metronome that doesn’t feel like a gym timer. This is not trying to replace a teacher; it’s a consistency tool for groups with limited rehearsal time and mixed skill levels.
