ChantRights

ChantRights is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps choirs, cantors, and worship leaders quickly determine whether a chant, hymn text, translation, or recording can be used in a service, livestream, or posted video—and what attribution or licensing is required. Users search a title or paste lyrics; the app returns a practical “use status” summary (public domain, likely copyrighted, unknown), recommended next steps, and a ready-to-copy attribution block. It also stores your repertoire list and generates a weekly “compliance checklist” for services and streams. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps match messy inputs (variant titles, languages, transliterations) and drafts attribution text, while a curated rules/metadata layer keeps results grounded. It won’t magically solve licensing, but it will reduce the time-wasting uncertainty that causes last-minute changes or risky uploads.
