ChapelCheck

ChapelCheck is a mobile + web app that helps people find genuinely quiet, contemplative places (chapels, meditation rooms, prayer spaces, memorial gardens) and avoid arriving to noise, closures, or crowds. Users see a simple “Quiet Now” score based on recent check-ins, scheduled events, and optional on-site decibel snapshots. Listings focus on practical details: exact entrance, hours, accessibility, etiquette rules, whether non-members are welcome, and what to expect (music, tours, foot traffic). The app avoids spiritual content debates and sticks to logistics and respect. Venues can claim their page to post hours, blackout times, and “silent blocks.” Monetization is realistic: subscriptions for frequent users (commuters, travelers) and a venue tools tier for institutions that want fewer disruptions and better visitor flow. Growth relies on high-trust contributors and partnerships with universities, hospitals, and large faith institutions.
