ChargeBacker

ChargeBacker is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that audits freight invoices and accessorial charges against contracted rates, shipment data, and carrier rules. Most shippers and 3PLs still rely on manual spot checks or pay-and-pray, leaving real money on the table through duplicate bills, wrong fuel surcharges, incorrect DIM weights, detention errors, and misapplied accessorials. The app ingests invoices (EDI/PDF), matches them to TMS/ERP shipment records, flags discrepancies with evidence, and generates dispute packets carriers actually accept. It also tracks dispute outcomes to identify which lanes, carriers, and facilities cause repeat errors, turning audits into operational fixes. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for document extraction and anomaly detection, but the core value is deterministic contract/rate validation and workflow. Expect a tough integration environment; the MVP should focus on one mode (parcel or LTL) to be realistic.
