ChargeCheck

ChargeCheck is a mobile app (iOS + Android) that helps people stop wasting money on “fast” cables and chargers that aren’t. It guides users through a simple at-home test: plug in, run a timed charge session, and optionally pair with a small, inexpensive USB-C power meter (sold separately) for accurate wattage. The app logs real-world performance by device, charger, cable, and port, then flags bottlenecks (bad cable, weak charger, wrong port, overheating, or power negotiation limits). It also keeps a “known good” list so users can label and trust specific cables, and it generates a shareable report when you need to return a product or dispute misleading specs. This is a traditional app with light AI: it uses on-device classification to detect patterns in charging curves and identify likely failure causes without needing deep hardware access.
