ChargeQueue

ChargeQueue is a mobile + web app that lets EV drivers reserve a charging slot at participating stations and get real-time certainty on wait times. Instead of showing “available/not available” (often wrong), it runs a lightweight virtual queue: drivers check in when they’re en route, stations confirm occupancy, and the system issues time-bound reservations with late-arrival penalties. For station operators, it reduces chaos, improves throughput, and enables simple pricing rules (off-peak discounts, idle fees, priority for members). For drivers, it prevents wasted detours, long lines, and charger-hogging. The MVP focuses on a small network of independent charging sites (dealerships, hotels, parking garages) that already have demand but lack sophisticated software. It’s not a magic fix for charger scarcity, but it meaningfully reduces uncertainty and time loss where chargers exist.
