ChargeQueue

ChargeQueue is a mobile + web app that predicts EV charging wait times and helps drivers avoid wasted detours. Users share lightweight, privacy-safe signals (arrival, plug-in start, plug-out) and the app blends them with public charger status feeds to estimate: how many cars are actually waiting, which stalls are broken, and how long you’ll likely sit before charging. It then recommends the best alternative chargers along your route, factoring in speed (kW), pricing, amenities, and your remaining range. The MVP focuses on a few metro areas and the most common networks, because nationwide accuracy is unrealistic without scale. Monetization is a freemium model: free basic wait times, paid “confidence routing” with proactive reroutes and saved vehicle profiles. This is not a magic fix for charger shortages, but it can meaningfully reduce time lost to bad charger stops.
