ChargeSleuth

ChargeSleuth is a web app (with optional mobile alerts) for small-to-mid eCommerce brands that can’t justify enterprise fraud tools but are bleeding from chargebacks and “friendly fraud.” It connects to Stripe, Shopify, and major payment gateways, then scores each order in real time using a combination of rules and lightweight ML. The focus is not fancy AI—it’s operational clarity: explainable risk reasons (device mismatch, velocity, address anomalies, prior disputes), recommended actions (hold, verify, ship), and a simple verification flow (SMS/email link, ID/selfie optional) that reduces disputes without crushing conversion. It also generates dispute-ready evidence packets automatically (timeline, logs, customer verification, delivery proof) to improve win rates. Brutal reality: you won’t beat incumbents on model sophistication; you win by being cheaper, faster to set up, and easier to operate for teams without fraud analysts.
